The sliding plate on this 40460 plate allows for precise adjustments to help balance long telephoto and zoom lenses.

The 2 integrated spirit levels show when the head is level and the unit comes complete with interchangeable 1/4" and 3/8" tripod screw thread adapters along with a locating pin to eliminate twist when using equipment with a pin locating hole, otherwise the spring-loaded pin simply recesses when the equipment is attached.

The plate comes complete with the 40490 quick release platform and can also be used with the extra long version of the plate, the 40500.
