MINOX’s successful innovative and technical capabilities have once again combined to design and produce the new ’Macroscope’. Measuring just 92x57x44mm, this 8x25 ’macroscope’ fits neatly into the palm of a hand and with a close-focus distance of just 30cm, allows a close-up, detailed study of all manner of objects. Its 8x magnification ensures that the user can observe wildlife and insects in great detail at close range without the fear of disturbing them. The use of Porro prisms in the ’macroscope’s’ optical construction gives an extremely high light transmission, which, when combined with the multicoated lenses, ensures the image quality and contrast is retained, even in poor light conditions. Macro observation is not the only use for this new MINOX ’scope, with just one complete turn of the focussing ring, items on the distant horizon will be in focus. Macro to infinity, and everything in between in one easy move! The new MINOX ’macroscope’ incorporates a focussing system which was first seen in the new Minox High Grade binocular range. Varying gear ratios means that focussing at close range is smooth and very precise, while changing to distance viewing is also very quick and easy. The ’macroscope’ features a tough rubber armouring to protect against everyday wear and tear and it is internally purged with Argon gas to ensure that it remains dust and waterproof down to 5 meters and to prevent internal misting during quick temperature or humidity changes. The ’twist-up / twist-down’ eyecup design allows spectacle wearers to see the full field of view. It can be mounted on a tripod using the standard 1/4" thread which allows prolonged, steady hands-free viewing. The Minox ’macroscope’ comes complete with stay-on-scope case and strap and is now also available in an all-black version. RRP is £139.00 for the silver version or £145.00 for the black version and they are available now.
